What We Do
Well Pump Services
From a failed submersible pump to pressure tank waterlogging — we service every component of your well system.
Submersible Pump Repair & Replacement
Submersible well pumps sit at the bottom of the well and are the heart of most private well systems on O'ahu. When they fail — from motor burnout, impeller damage, or electrical failure — we pull, repair, or replace them.
Pressure Tank Service
A waterlogged pressure tank causes the pump to cycle on and off constantly, burning out the motor prematurely. We test, recharge, and replace pressure tanks to restore normal system operation.
Pump Control Box Repair
The control box regulates power to the submersible pump motor. Electrical faults, capacitor failure, and relay problems in the control box are a common cause of well pump failure — often simpler to fix than the pump itself.
Well System Diagnosis
No water, low pressure, or intermittent flow? We diagnose the full system — pump, pressure tank, electrical connections, and supply line — to find the exact cause. We also check for supply line leaks from well to house.
Water Quality Testing
Private well water should be tested annually for bacteria, nitrates, and other contaminants. We can arrange water testing and recommend appropriate treatment if issues are found.
Well-to-House Supply Line Repair
The supply line from your well to your home can develop leaks, freeze (in elevated properties), or be damaged by ground movement. We repair and replace well supply lines as part of complete well system service.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do well pumps last?
Most submersible well pumps last 10–15 years with normal use. Factors that shorten life include running dry (low water table), high mineral content in the water, frequent short cycling from a failing pressure tank, and electrical surges. We recommend proactive pressure tank maintenance to protect the pump motor.
Why does my pressure tank need to be replaced if my pump is working?
The pressure tank's air bladder can fail, causing the tank to fill with water instead of maintaining an air cushion. This makes the pump run on every draw of water instead of only when pressure drops below the cut-in point. Constant cycling wears the pump motor out in 1–3 years instead of 10–15.
What does it mean when the pump short cycles?
Short cycling means the pump turns on and off rapidly — sometimes many times per minute. This is almost always caused by a waterlogged pressure tank with a failed bladder. It's a sign the pressure tank needs to be replaced before it destroys the pump motor.
Can you pull a submersible pump from a deep well?
Yes. We use pump pulling equipment to retrieve submersible pumps from wells of typical residential depth. We assess the well depth and equipment needed when you call, so we arrive prepared.
Should I have my well water tested?
Private well water should be tested at least annually for bacteria (coliform) and nitrates, and every 3–5 years for a broader panel of potential contaminants. If you're on a well and haven't tested recently, it's worth doing. We can also install water filtration if testing reveals any concerns.
